Charro

First Impression:
Located in New Berlin on Bluemound Road, the Charro has the look of a trendy high class resturant.  The interior decor features black walls with words writen on them in white.  This gives you the feeling of New York not latin america.  This is not to say that the look is unapealing or unatractive.  Though if this is not the kind of dineing room you would perfer there is outdoor seating for when there is good weather.  Those of us who live in wisconsin know that doesn't come around often enough, so takeing it in is always nice.

Overal I give the look a B-, while not being unapealing the menu theme is for Central/South America, which seems to be missing from the look of the interior.

Service:
My waiter was friendly, cheerful, eager, and knew his stuff.  He was recomending food telling us what he liked and describing the flavors so it was clear he had tasted the food himself.  While the wait staff did not hover, our water glasses did not get close to running dry.
Service Grade an A+

Food:
While the look, and treatment by the staff are important when eating out what is more important is the food.  Portion size was considerable, but well within the price.  The dishes ordered were the smoked Chicken, Shrimp in Coconut milk, and the special for the night a grilled porkchip served on a bed of Corn, crumbled cheese, and grilled cactus leaves.  As well as a "small plate" that was ground pork, pulled beef, served on spanish rice over a cut and seared plantina.  All of it was excelent.

The Chicken was moist, but not under done, and had a smokey quality to it.  The pork chop was the only weak point to the whole meal.  While eating it the portion away from the bone was done excelently but where the bone got thicker the meat got rare.  Pork, and poltry I will never less then well done.  Pork doubly so, as it carries so many parasites, and I don't need to become a worm colony.  But for the most part my chop was excelent, and I sympathised with the person who cooked it as trying to cook a porkchop that is still that juicy and flavorful (and almost half a inch thick) without over cooking it would take a lot of skill.
Grade on the food A- (Gotta dock you guys for nearly giving me worms, sorry.)

Restrooms:
These were clean, smelled good but did not have an over powering smell, and in total looked great.  The only flaw I found, no facial tissue in case someone needed to blow their nose.  That though is me being nit picky as the stalls were clean and well stocked.
Restroom Grade: A

Final Grade: A- (3.725)
